Kelantan Islamic Foundation (yik) which is today more a religion of the Kelantan state government agencies entrusted to carry out the activities of Islamic education and Arabic language studies in the population of this country. The establishment was originally on January 1, 1974, which is below the Kelantan Enactment 9/1968. 

In 1973, a coalition of Islamic Party (PAS) and Barisan Nasional (BN) was established in Kelantan. A proposal has been submitted to the state government to set up a special department to deal with religious schools. Department named Special Department to conduct religious schools. The department named Department of Religious Schools (JASA) Kelantan on July 1, 1974 and is filed under High School Islamic Foundation, Nilam Puri Enactment No. 9, 1969 which was later amended under Act No. 3 in 1977. It is housed in a building Yaakubiah Melaka, Kota Bharu. SERVICES governed by the congregation governance accountable to the Council of Higher Education Kelantan Islamic Foundation (Muhammad Yunan 1997).

Schools involved in the takeover of the first stage is about six, namely Muhammadi Madrasah (Kota Bharu), Madrasah Falahiah (Pasir Pekan, dense), Madrasah Amir Indera Petra (Beris Kubur Besar, Kulim), Madrasah Yaakubiah (Nipah, Kluang ), Madrasah Arabiah (Pasir Mas) and Madrasah Syamsul Maarif (Pulai Santi, Machang) and the other in the shade. This shade is the primary purpose of the schools approved by the administration and running MAIK syllabus formulated by Maik, but the teachers are appointed and funded by the school development committees, respectively.
