Kompleks Perkayuan Kelantan Sdn Bhd (KPK) was established on January 26, 1979 with an authorized capital of RM20 million and paid-up capital of RM 6 million. Wholly owned by the State Economic Development Corporation (PKINK). In 1980 the Commission commenced operations as a logging company and have been given a concession of 14,200 acres in the area south of Kuala Krai (SAPODILLA River, River Chali). After the Commission on its way towards achieving its mission as an integrated timber company by establishing a sawmill in the village of Stong, Public Health, which began operations in 1983 with an active timber processing. To ensure an adequate supply of timber and obtained a continuous basis, the Commission has allocated a total area of ​​92,449.39 hectares of forest concessions in the area of ​​Forest Leaves, Balah, Gunung Stong South, North and Central America under the Administrative Office of the District Forest West Kelantan. These concessions are exploited, generate sustainable forest management with cutting cycle of 30 years. The area also produced according to the quota of 20,000 acres every 5 years. With an estimated area of ​​4,000 acres per year. 

In 1990, the Commission has made a number of enhancements and developments to be implemented at the plant to expand and strengthen existing activities. among them; 

i. Modification Sawmill 
ii. Construction Factory Furnace (Kiln Drying) 
iii. Factory Construction Mouldings (Moulding) 

In 2002, the Commission has added 1.3 million investment to upgrade and purchase KD boilers (Boiler) new more serious steps towards downstream. 

By conducting logging activities in the first place and then carry the wood to the mills downstream, at the present time the Commission has managed to increase its paid up capital to RM 19,605,449 million.
