The infrastructure of Muslim international business has long been in existence in the form of bazaar. The Silk and Spice Routes before the West occupation of the East were connected by bazaars that spread out along these routes.

Effort is being made to revive these business networks that span from Istanbul and Cairo in the Middle East, Dubai and Saudi Arabia in West Asia, to Kelantan in South East Asia, and Beijing and Tokyo in the FarEast.

1.9 billion Muslims around the world is a huge market for Muslim entrepreneurs in Asia. Marketing network, especially for Halal products, can be created in the form of market-ummah.

IMBNet is a business networking alliance that was officially launched on 5th. August 2006 inconjuction with the First International Muslim Business Network Forum held at KotaBharu, Kelantan, Malaysia.

As the name implies, the International Muslim Business Network (IMBNet) is an attempt to promote and expedite the economic development of the Muslim world through business networking among Muslim businesses globally, while continuing trade with the rest of the world.

IMBNet plans to provide its members with various networking opportunities, assistance in identifying and exploiting business opportunities, shareideas, solve problems, and meet entrepreneurs and professionals in global environment.

IMBNet also will bring about tremendous amount of benefit to Muslims all over the world, while be coming a reference point for consumers, especially among Muslims, to obtain Halal products and/or services offered by entrepreneurs across Asia, especially South East Asia.
