Majlis Perbandaran Kota Bharu (MPKB) is the organization that runs the Majlis Empire State operations around the airport of Kota Bharu which includes 65 Section. Breadth pentadbirannya area is 115.64 square kilometers of area merangkumi Moonlight Beach Sabak Beach to the north, the area with the region bersempadan Batu 5, Jalan Pasir Mas and Jalan Kuala Krai to jambatan Tumboh sand on the south, the river Waqf Pengkalan Datu and Stan to the east and to the west of Kelantan River. 

MPKB region is a node of development for the State of Kelantan to lay the Kota Kinabalu as a hub airport pentadbiran, trade and Financial. When Pengkalan Chepa as an industrial center and Kubang Kerian as Central Institutions. 

Bandar Kota Bharu was founded on 1844 and diisytiharkan as the central government by the Kelantan State Move Down Majesty Duli Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Ke-II. In 1936, Kota Bharu airport dinaik tarafkan as Majlis bandaran Kota Bharu (MBKB). MBKB has dimansuhkan bandaran and entrusted to the Institute in 1971. In 1978 the Institute was originally composed bandaran Kota Bharu and dinaik tarafkan to Majlis Perbandaran Kota Bharu in 1978.
