Maahad Islamic Studies was established on 17 January 1959 under the roof of the lodge, Jalan Merbau Maahad Muhammadi Kota Bharu. width = At the beginning of the establishment of the College was named the College of Education. College is sponsored by the Association of Teachers of Religious Kelantan motion. This association is chaired by Al-Fadhil Ustaz Haji Hassan bin Haji Idris.Setelah College runs for 6 months and then opened by the Islamic Religious Council and Malay Custom Kelantan number 6 in ape 26/59 dated 1 September 1959 with the instructor 7 people consisting of: -

Macula. width = In 1967 Maahad Islamic Studies was developed on the base itself in Jln Kota Bharu Circular together with the College of the Holy Land Madrasay both equally squat building Maahad Muhammadi beginning of its establishment. Beginning in March 1968 Islamic College changed its name to the new name of the College of Islamic Studies or Arabic language Maahad Ad-Dirasah Al-Islamiah. After the Madrasah Al-land inducted into the College of Islamic Studies. Then in 1973 was inducted into the College of Islamic Studies Madrasah At-Tarbiyah Al-Islamiah Dusun Raja Kota Bharu. College continued to grow until 1988 when it was taken over completely by the state government under the administration of the Islamic Foundation YIK until now. In 2006 the College of Islamic Studies was changed to Maahad Islamic Studies until now.
